The new way to process your files
How much time do you waste copying, moving and emailing files... to the same location, again and again?
File Viking does these repetitive actions for you. Select the files in Windows Explorer and "drop" them onto a floating Basket icon. File Viking then processes the files according to your instructions.
File Viking is compatible with most Windows file managers, including Windows Explorer, FileBoss and XPlorer2. (Actually, File Viking is compatible with most programs that let you drag and drop files.)
Initial Setup
- Create one or more Baskets - these are the icons that float above your desktop.
- Configure the Baskets - Tell File Viking what to do when a file is dropped on its icon.
- Set up Groups (Optional) – If you have a lot of Baskets, organize them into Groups.
If the Basket icons get in your way, press CTRL+SHIFT+P to hide them.
The same shortcut brings them back.(You can also specify your own shortcut keys.)
Use the Power of File Viking
Once you've set up them up, the Baskets appear as icons floating above your desktop. When you drag one or more files to a Basket, File Viking carries out your instructions without further prompting, e.g. creating copies in other locations, emailing the files and opening them in other applications.
