ZIP
This action zips all dropped files to an optionally password-protected Zip file
Name and Description:
These appear in the Basket Configuration window. It's probably best to use a short Name and save the longer explanation for the Description.
Zip Filename:
Enter the complete path, including filename, of the ZIP to be created. Use special {Tags} such as {yyyy} for the current year. Missing directories will be created automatically.
If the Zip already exists:
Choose what happens if a zip with this name already exists.
- Add/Replace Files in Zip - This modifies the zip, making it up to date with the files you dropped on the basket.
- Replace the Zip - Remove the old zip file and create a new one.
- Rename the old zip - The original/old Zip is renamed so it has a unique sequence number appended to its name.
- Rename the new zip - The new Zip is renamed so it has a unique sequence number appended to its name.
Directory Paths:
How much Directory information must be stored inside the Zip. The "Minimize Paths" option will store one directory level.
Compression Level:
How much compression should be applied. This is a tradeof between size and speed.
Password for Zipfiles:
Enter, and confirm, a password for these zipfiles. Leave empty to create unprotected zipfiles.
256 bit AES:
Enable this option to create the most secure protected zipfiles. Disable this option to create so-called Zip2 protected zipfiles. Zip2 protection is not considered safe but is the most compatible option.
